I have been playing with dolls since birth. Like most people who immersed themselves in creativity, I always drew something, sculpted an awl. Gradually I realized that this world, and only it, is the kind of activity to which I would like to devote myself as much as life allows.
After lengthy various courses for several years on creating an author’s articulated doll, in 2016 I participated in my first ever international doll exhibition, where I won the Debut nomination of the Doll of the Year competition. My first dolls were made of polyurethane, but finding myself in the world of designer dolls,
I discovered something different. What made me look at the world of art dolls differently. I met dolls made of the noblest material imaginable – porcelain. And here I have nothing more to say. My most cherished dream has come true. I create dolls using natural materials.
And every time I plunge my hands into the porcelain slip, I feel a thrill of excitement, inspiration flows like a river. I feel the life and love with which the future doll will appear. And even at this moment in time, I don’t know which doll would want to be born. This is a mystery to me. Each doll is unique in its own way and, in my opinion,
this is the magic of the art doll.
