I was inspired by the fairytale of Beauty and the Beast.
“It all started because of a rose.”
The doll’s dress is made by me with fabric silk and fabric lace, it is not removable.
Her skin is painted with genesis oil paint and her hair is in soft tibetan wool.
I also made her eyes and they are frame with eyelashes apply one by one.
Also the base is made by me.
The bridge is made with a polymer clay and it is painted with the acrilic colors with Drybrushing & Washing Technique.
I made the railing with the brass wire and tin welding technique then paint with black enamel
I used resin for the water.
The swans are made with polymer clay and I covered they with feathers.

The work is made with a mix of polymer clay, every part of this work is made by me without the use of any mold.
The doll is about 27 cm tall, with base she is about 35 cm tall and wide about 21,5 cm.

My name is Anna Fantinel, I was born in Australia but I live in Italy for many years.
After high school where I studied window dresser, I also studied as dressmaker and pattern maker.
I have always loved dolls, but before making them I tried many hobbies, sewing, making jewelry, decoupage, etc …
I started making dolls when I had breast cancer and needed a distraction on my mind.
I love working with polymer clay, every work I make is an OOAK – One Of A Kind and I not use any tipe of molds.
I especially love making fairies or mermaids, but I also love making children or the elderly and I love to make also art nouveau floral jewelry
Now, after a few years, for me, sculpting has become my life and my passion.
