Buratino

This is a mischievous, cheerful boy. Sometimes he likes to lie or fantasize. This makes his nose grow. The more deception, the longer the nose.

The dolls are created from the self-hardening DARWI Classic mass, using the “primitive” mixed technique. Dolls are boudoir, joints are movable, thread connections. Non-removable clothing, made of natural fabrics (linen, cotton). Hair – flax. Stuffing – sawdust, synthetic winterizer. Painted with acrylic paint. Buratino’s height is 53 cm

Buratino's girlfriend

I also created a girlfriend for him. She has no name yet. I just call her “Buratino’s girlfriend.” I think the new owners will come up with a beautiful name for her.

Buratino and his girlfriend

I present two of my works. One is called Buratino. This is a mischievous, cheerful boy. Sometimes he likes to lie or fantasize. This makes his nose grow. The more deception, the longer the nose.

My name is Marina Grazhule. I live and work in Latvia, in the city of Riga. I met dolls 5 years ago. It was a great opportunity to try different types of craft. When creating a doll, you are a tailor, a sculptor, a hairdresser, and an artist. I really love all this and put my love into my work. This is the first time I participate in an exhibition of this scale.
